I own & ride Astek Guardsman. Guardsman is a horse I won a half share in in 2012 from Astek Stud in conjunction with a NZ Horse & Pony Magazine promotion. I would like to thank the unwavering support of Sue Fowler from Astek. She has played such a huge roll in what can only be described as a horse of a lifetime!
I was humbled by such a warm welcome into Sue Fowler's home and stud. It was so refreshing to meet such honest, enthusiastic and generous people. I was very impressed by the way Astek Stud is run and the quality of their foals, mares, youngsters and stallions. It was extremely hard to choose just one lovely horse, but in the end Astek Guardsman stood out to me. He has fabulous conformation, wonderful movement and a quiet and easy nature, all attributes that I think will make a top eventer.
